While recovering from pneumonia....

Mia LOVES riping up magazines!

So happy to be outside again!

" Wuv' my bike Mommy!"

See ya!

Made in the shade!

We missed you mommy!

Who knew you could get pneumonia in August?! Well, you can, and I am proof!! Last week was a terrible week, after 3 interviews on Tuesday I started feeling really terrible- I was freezing and EXHAUSTED and that night when I woke up with Mia to nurse I was sweating and almost dropped her because I was so weak. But, the next day after a little while I perked up again after some Aleve and brushed it off. Well, the following day I had to deliver a meal to a mother in my mom's group that I had missed the previous day and doggedly made cheesey potatos and stopped at the store and got her a chicken while having my kids fed and dressed all by naptime. So, we get home and take a nap and I'm starting to get more sick. By Friday I told Gabe he couldn't go to work and leave me with the kids because I couldn't get out of bed, which he knew was bad because I'm NOT that type of person. The fever, body aches, headaches, chills, small cough, and shear exhaustion were terrible and plain old Aleve was no longer doing it. On Saturday morning I woke up and could feel the cough in my chest and I thought; Oh no, time to go to the Dr. So Gabe dragged me to the Urgent Care where he thought it was probably the flu or maybe pneumonia and asked if I wanted a chest X-ray as I layed up in a ball on the examining room freezing . Knowing what I felt and worrying about the kids made me wait another 30 minutes to take the X-ray and wait for the results in which case he thought that it WAS probably Walking Pneumonia- he couldn't be sure with the X-ray and me breastfeeding, but he gave me a Z-pac(or C) and sent me home. I felt worse that day and evening and of course Mia would sleep no other place that night other then right by mommy! I made it through the next 2 or 3 days and here we are!! Thank God- I've never been so sick or thankful for good health! I see now how this is what kills many older people and young children- it is ROUGH and exhausting! I'm still working on catching my breath. I'm glad to have caught it early, I'm sure it could have gotten much worse and that would have been BAD.
Today, Tuesday, dad went back to work and the kids and I got dressed (yay!) and even made an appearance outside! It's been a great day, but boy, am I ready for a nap!!

Thanks for taking care of me Gabe- even though I had to drag you away from your work computer a couple times! XOXO
