Haven't posted in a while! Been busy trying to get this winter over with. We've about had it! Finally got a minivan so that's been pretty exciting, I love the automatic doors and the room; the kids love the DVD player! It worked out so that was a nice surprise.

We celebrated Mia's 2nd birthday on the February 4th. She got lots of fun presents and we had a good time at Grammy and Grampy's with the family. Can't believe my baby is a little girl now. We're trying to work on potty training, she's kind of interested.

She has a BUNCH of personality which makes for exciting and feisty days. She's way too smart. Giving mommy a hard time and kissing up to daddy are her favorite things to do. And dancing- can't forget dance parties!

Vince has been having fun at school and really loves learning. He's been asking how to spell words and we're starting to learn how to read a little but for now he seems more interested in words and spelling. He's still obsessed with Monster trucks and regularly plays so hard/much with them he brakes them.

I ask her if she wants something- "Ummm... su'e" Sounds kind of like how sure should sound instead of the "shure" that it actually sounds like.

Ask her to do something- "Nope, sawwy!"

Funny things from Vince:

We were singing along in the van to a CD and Vince said "Dad- when I open my mouth, music notes come out!"

We were walking through Target the other day and he was singing loudly, "You Are My Sunshine".

2011

This year so far has been a fun one! We are continually reminded how lucky we are. We may not be as financially set as we would like, but our kids are happy and healthy and really what else matters?!

Vince and daddy went to see Monster Jam 2011 here in Columbus. They had a great time and wore they're ear plugs! Vince can rattle off most of the trucks and their drivers- he's a little obsessed!

Mia and I hung out and painted our nails! (That's nail polish on her chin)

We finally had a good snow so I was a good mommy and took the kiddos out to go sledding. They LOVED it and made it worth the exhaustion of getting them ready, dragging them down the street, up and down the hill at least 8 times, dragging them back down the street and UNDRESSED!

Vince: Walked up to me the other night out of the blue

with no prompting, gave me a hug, a kiss and said

"I love you Mom."

Winter time fun!

We've had an exciting month so far! We've been busy with work, school, Santa & Christmas coming. Seems like this year just sneaked past us! Where did November go?!

We wrote some letters to Santa and he wrote back! The kids were pretty excited, although Vincent kept asking me "What is taking Santa so long?!" So we made a calendar to count down for him. He's very excited to see if Santa brings the new truck he's been asking for and Mia keeps asking for "Cinderella!"

We went to our Rec Center's X-mas party and Mia jumped up on Santa's lap and started smiling away and told him what she wanted. You can see the pictures below. Vince wasn't quite as keen on him till he saw Mia sitting there and once Gabe threw him on Santa's lap he got over it; a little... The last picture kind of captured their personalities- Vince is being shy and Mia is being cute.

Well, gotta get back to babysitting, cards, cookies and packing for a weekend in West Virginia!

Fall Fun Days

We've been busy and having some fun this fall! Vince is finally LOVING school. He told me last week "Mom, remember when I was little... and I didn't like school? When I was 3? But now I'm 4 and I like school!" What a turn-around!

Vince and I celebrated our birthdays on the 11th and 14th; Vince turned 4 and mom turned 25! Vince got a sweet new bike (and a bunch of trucks!)he loves and had a fun party. Mom and daddy celebrated our 5 year anniversary on the 15th- we like keeping everything together! Mia decided to shoot for February because she doesn't like sharing- so like her!

Mia has been trying the potty and actually peed on it over the weekend! An actual full one! Hasn't happened since, but ehh- we're getting there!

We went to a Halloween party last Friday night at one of our little Rec Centers down the street, where the first picture is from. It was a lot of fun and Vince loved the games and all the candy. Mom even talked Dad into dressing up and we all had a fun time!

The following day was Saturday and we went to Circle S Farms for daddy's birthday. It was such a fun time! There were hayrides, hay slides, hay tunnels, hay mountains, roosters, goats, pumpkins, hot dogs, nachos, and did I mention hay?! We had a great time and suggest everyone come with us next year!
