While recovering from pneumonia....

Mia LOVES riping up magazines!

So happy to be outside again!

" Wuv' my bike Mommy!"

See ya!

Made in the shade!

We missed you mommy!

Who knew you could get pneumonia in August?! Well, you can, and I am proof!! Last week was a terrible week, after 3 interviews on Tuesday I started feeling really terrible- I was freezing and EXHAUSTED and that night when I woke up with Mia to nurse I was sweating and almost dropped her because I was so weak. But, the next day after a little while I perked up again after some Aleve and brushed it off. Well, the following day I had to deliver a meal to a mother in my mom's group that I had missed the previous day and doggedly made cheesey potatos and stopped at the store and got her a chicken while having my kids fed and dressed all by naptime. So, we get home and take a nap and I'm starting to get more sick. By Friday I told Gabe he couldn't go to work and leave me with the kids because I couldn't get out of bed, which he knew was bad because I'm NOT that type of person. The fever, body aches, headaches, chills, small cough, and shear exhaustion were terrible and plain old Aleve was no longer doing it. On Saturday morning I woke up and could feel the cough in my chest and I thought; Oh no, time to go to the Dr. So Gabe dragged me to the Urgent Care where he thought it was probably the flu or maybe pneumonia and asked if I wanted a chest X-ray as I layed up in a ball on the examining room freezing . Knowing what I felt and worrying about the kids made me wait another 30 minutes to take the X-ray and wait for the results in which case he thought that it WAS probably Walking Pneumonia- he couldn't be sure with the X-ray and me breastfeeding, but he gave me a Z-pac(or C) and sent me home. I felt worse that day and evening and of course Mia would sleep no other place that night other then right by mommy! I made it through the next 2 or 3 days and here we are!! Thank God- I've never been so sick or thankful for good health! I see now how this is what kills many older people and young children- it is ROUGH and exhausting! I'm still working on catching my breath. I'm glad to have caught it early, I'm sure it could have gotten much worse and that would have been BAD.
Today, Tuesday, dad went back to work and the kids and I got dressed (yay!) and even made an appearance outside! It's been a great day, but boy, am I ready for a nap!!

Thanks for taking care of me Gabe- even though I had to drag you away from your work computer a couple times! XOXO

Mia is 6 months!

Yay! I'm 6 months old!

I'm gonna get that camera mommy!

No, this isn't a beer belly!

Mommy, quit tickling me!

Doing some writing...

Mia is starting to sit up with help!

Have I mentioned I L-O-V-E ice cream?

Gimme that!

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum...

Snuggling

Keep your eye on him mom...

Yep- made it to 6 months on the 4th! Crazy how time has flown! Seems like just yesterday; well, maybe not! Mia is huge- obviously, and we see what her stats are on the 10th when we go in for her check-up. I'm anxious to see how much she has gained. Vince was over 24 lbs at 6 months and I think she at least has some height on him if not a couple extra rolls!
She rolls all over the floor now and occasionally gets her big butt up a litlle like she's thinking of crawling. One can only hope.... she's HEAVY!
Vince is doing well too. He says something new everyday that makes me laugh. Gabe calls Mia "honey" alot which Vince has picked up on. He always giggling at her saying "oh honeeeyyy!" It's super cute. I can't believe he's almost 3! Just crazy. He moved up to a twin bed so I wouldn't have to here the head banging anymore- thanks Grammy and Grampy! He cried when you left, by the way... it was sad. We bought some Diego undies tonight to try out soon, as soon as I feel like cleaning up pee and poop I suppose. I hope that will work because I'm so tired of diapers!
Bye for now! Xoxo

Kids say the funniest things!

Vincent loves his sister!

Trying to get a good picture~ HA! (Vince tends to head-butt her!)

A little better....

Mia in her saucer, chewing...

Daddy's girl. She's looking at him...

I was trying to get a cute one of them together, not easy this time!

Vince coloring Grammy's birthday card
Vince has said and done some really funny things lately, so I thought I better write them down before I forget!
The other day I was laying on the couch trying to snooze before Mia got up again and Vince was watching TV. The cartoon was talking about eggs, so I didn't bother to look when he started yelling "Mommy! EGG!!!!! Mommy, Eeeggggggg!!!!" over and over again! I just said yep, Vince I hear it, thinking he was pointing to the TV or something. He kept yelling and I just wasn't looking. So about 15 minutes later Gabe came home for lunch and said as he walked through the living room he said "WHAT is that?! Is that POOP?!!!" I, of course, jumped up and said "WHAT?!" I looked down on the carpet to see a few turds laying on the ground and Vince again saying "EGGS daddy! Eggs, mommy!!" He had "laid" some eggs for us... Gross...
Yesterday we were in the car and I told him that I was stopping at McDonald's to get a drink because I was thirsty, but we weren't getting anything else. As soon as I drive up to the drive-thru though of course he starts yelling for "Fies! Fies pease!" I say again, "Vince, mommy is just getting a drink, I'm thirsty." He says ok, but 1 minute later, after ordering my drink and pulling up to the first window he says very sincerely and sweetly "I wuuuv fies mommy...." Well, how could I say no to that?! Push-over, I know...
The last thing I just remembered is kinda funny too. One day a few weeks ago Gabe and Vince were drawing. Vince said "Draw mommy, daddy!" So, Gabe started drawing and as he drew he said "Mommy's got crazy hair," and under his breath he said, "and big boobs." At which point Vince said laughing "And big boobs!" They both got a whack for that one. So, fast forward to earlier this week. Vince came up to me and said "Mommy- draw!" I said alright, what? He said mommy. So I draw my head, my "crazy hair" and start to draw my body at which point Vince says "Big boobs Mommy!" Ahhh.... thanks Gabe.

Mia is getting bigger and stronger! She now is rolling across the floor! It's really cute to see and I hope that means she'll be walking sooner then Vince did, my arms/back/legs need a break!
Some funny things she does is that she STARES at you when you're eating something, anything! Many times she tries to grab at it too! One day we were all eating pizza and she was staring at Gabe and he said "Sorry, honey! Not for another 6 months or so!" Right after he finished talking, like she understood EXACTLY what he said, she started crying! It was the cutest thing! And she was watching Gabe eat ice cream a week ago and we were watching and her bottom lip started quivering again! Needless to say, she had ice cream.....

Be back with Mia's 6 months pics soon! XOXO

Mia is 5 months!

My 5 month photo

How are you?

Vince checking out the water fountains

Here it comes!!

Taking a drink!

Mmmm.... perfect on a hot day!

We're having a nice summer. Gabe was off this week and we went and visited Grammy and Grampy and had a good time. Thank you guys!! We came home and went to the water fountains in Dublin on Friday and had a fun time. Vince wouldn't get near them for the first 30 minutes and we thought we were going to have to leave and then he decided he was ready and went wild.(If it's not his idea, he ain't doing it!) We had loads of fun and got a little burnt up, so we accomplished what we hoped.
Mia is now 5 months and must be at least 21 lbs. She's moving all over, rolling and still fighting her sleep, that's why I'm still up now- writing this! She is still as smiley as ever and everybody just loves her and wants to hold her, until they realize how HEAVY she is!
We hope everyone else is having a great summer! And we're thankful for all we have. :)

The reason I need onsies... I'm not amused.

I squirm alot.

Hi!

Mommy...

We're having a pretty good summer so far. We went to a pool party where we didn't get in- Vince refused till 1 minute before we were leaving to try the kiddie pool. He wouldn't go in the pool, but didn't mind walking right on the very edge, just to keep me on my toes of course! He loves being outside, except for the bugs, he's getting a little too worried about them. And tonight he rode his trike all the way around the block 3 times!! It was pretty exciting to us! Still in pull-ups, no news there...

Mia will be 5 months this week. She's getting big and LOVES squealing at her brother and anyone else around for that matter. She's large and in charge- not really, just large! In 12 month clothing and growing out of it and size 4 (!) diapers. She's doing well and loves standing in her exersaucer so she can see her brother.

Have a nice 4th everyone!

Summertime...

Finally got a picture with BOTH looking and smiling! Vince was "holding" Mia, and yes, that's my wrist over there...

We went with our Mom's group to the fire station in our town, Vince LOVED it of course. Mia liked the firemen too!

Looking around in the ambulance- pretty cool!

Mia's 1st attempt as cereal. This picture doesn't show it, but she is going to be a cereal lover like her mother!

1st time in her exersaucer! She's laughing at Vince probably...

Mia has started a couple new milestones in the last couple weeks. We started cereal, which she is beginning to love, but even in the beginning kind of took to. She NEVER spit it out like Vince used to. She also started standing in her exersaucer and seems to really enjoy it. She can really watch Vince while she's in it, which she loves to do. He's her favorite already. They have their own little language which includes lots of screaming in a high pitch! It's LOUD!
We all three went to tour Fire Station here in Worthington. It was a great time and Vince was good for once, probably because we saw the trucks FIRST instead of last. Vince has also turned into Mr. Manners. I'll have to try to get a video. He says "Tank you mommy" and " 'cuse me". It's really cute. Of course I'm biased... We've started putting him in pull-ups, which he doesn't like, but he doesn't like much!! If I hear "No!" anymore I don't know what I'll do! I totally went of on Gabe the other day because he jokingly told me "no". I told him sorry, but that I had hit my quota of "no" for the day and couldn't hear it one more time!
See you later!

Mia is 4 months!

4 months!

The pudding monster

I LOVE this one!

Mia Rose has made it to 4 months and is healthy by all accounts. We went to her appointment today and she was 18 lbs., 13 oz. and 26 inches! It's funny because Vince was 19.13 at his 4 month app.! Dr. Mahoney said she looks very healthy and happy! This chunky monkey never stops smiling, even when getting shots! Have to start solids now! Rice cereal here we come... that should make for some good pictures!

Her brother, Vince is doing well. Still eating pudding, trying to learn how to peddle a bike, and being a very loving big brother. Unfortunately his talking is doing better and every other word now is "No!". It's just great...
Happy Birthday Grampy Vincent!!!
