Happy Easter/Spring!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY! We took a couple fun-filled trips to the Zoo and went to Grammy and Grampy's for Easter and here are some pics to show everyone. We had a great Easter- thanks Grammy and Grampy and Great-Grammy! We had loads of fun and we hope you are fully recovered from our little hurricane we tend to create. Sorry, guys...
A few days after Easter we went to the Zoo for the second time with our neighbors, Vince's best buds. We had a great time and saw so many animals! We walked tons and mommy was especially exhausted! Thanks for all the help Richardson's- it was GREATLY appreciated (and needed)!
Our little family

Uncle Paul and Aunt Kateri with the kids and Chloe-
we can't wait to meet her!
(the kids appear to be sunning their toes...)

Vince found his Easter basket from the Easter bunny

Mia did too

Well, hello there!

Well, it's been a while. We've been busy around here at the Martineau house. I started babysitting a 3 month-old baby named Jack. It's been kind of hard, mainly for Mia who does NOT LIKE SHARING mommy! Boy does she have a temper.
She has started walking almost exclusively, except outside which is unfortunate as she has turned into a ball of mud. But she is doing well and "Mooomyyyy!" is her new, favorite thing to say/whine. Sheesh....
Vince is doing well. He's a big help to mommy while I take care of Jack and Mia and has called Jack his brother. He loves him to death and calls him "Jackie!" So cute....
Two cute things he's said lately have been about daddy. On Monday this week at dinner, he ran over to Gabe and said "Thanks for coming home Daddy!!!" and gave him a big kiss. The next night when daddy wasn't home for dinner he said "Hmmm... somefings missing......" After he said it again I finally asked what. He said "Daddy's missing!" Kinda broke my heart a little. Made him call dad and tell him that one. Of course Gabe thought I told him to say both things although I actually had not! Kids DO say the darnedest things. Went to see Grammy and Grampy and the rest of the gang last weekend and after leaving Uncle Paul's house and my parents house he said "That was fun!" They both are such joyful children and bring so much more to our lives. Most of the time anyway!
Wrestling with Daddy!

13 months!

That's one of her instruments and the only 13 month pic I could get of her sitting

Feeding herself- think she got about 2 drops!

But she wants to be a BIG girl!

Mia's 1st Birthday!

WE MADE IT TO 1 YEAR!!!

But I have an ear infection and Vince is making me mad!!

Happy 1st Birthday Mia Rose!

Yummy.... ice cream cake!

Playing with my new school bus that my brother REALLY likes...

LOVE my daddy...

Mommy loves me!

Brother REALLY loves me...

Sometimes a little TOO much!

We celebrated Mia's 1st birthday! We can't believe it's been a WHOLE year already. Where did it all go?! Of course at her 1 year appointment we found out that she has an ear infection to go with this nasty cold she's been fighting and then we had 2 shots! It wasn't the BEST of birthdays! She weighs 27 lbs., 12.5 oz. (99%); she's 30 1/4 inches (85%); and her head is 18 3/4 inches (97%). Needless to say she's a big girl who now weighs more then Vince did at this age!
But we celebrated with spaghetti and meatballs anyway and daddy stopped and got an ice cream cake. I missed it with the camera but when we were singing Happy Birthday Mia started swaying from side to side, dancing. It was really cute.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIA!
Funny things Vince has said lately:
"Ice is slippely!"
"I can't wait!" Talking about going to school because
he thinks a bus is coming to get him. (It's not)
Shakes whatever it is that he is holding, while eating it and say "My ____ is dancing!"
Mia:
"WHOA"
"Yeah"
"NO!"
"Dad"

11 months old!

My big brother, my best friend

Watching the birdies

Well, what do you think...

Going in for a kiss

Look at that!

Already likes phones!

LOVE my daddy

This is how our 11 month photos turned out

And one half-way decent one- only a little yelling!
We have again made it to 11 months and keep wondering how we've made it this far and fast. I've started planning her birthday party which is fun and exciting. I just can't believe it's almost been a year. So much has changed. We're getting a cousin to join us from Paul and Kateri. Uncle Dan is leaving us for Libya to find a new adventure. Adam and Cara will be in Cali for another few months so it'll be a small birthday party! We'll miss you guys :(
Mia will be walking any day, she is taking steps and stands up from the middle of the floor. She says "Dada, Moma", and probably other things that I just haven't caught yet. Tonight was the first night she finally fell asleep by herself after minimal crying so that was a breakthrough for me! Now if we could just get her to quit waking up during the night mommy would be a happy, well-rested woman!
Vince is big, talking a ton, and loves all the snow. We put a bird feeder in our tree in the back- hence the pics of the kids looking at the birdies! He loves playing with our neighbors who are turning into good friends which is nice for all of us. He likes to help US remember out manners and reminds me to cover my mouth when I cough by say "Cover Mommy! COVER!!" Which of course is exactly what I say to him...
We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and continue to count our blessings. We hope and pray that all is well with you all!
